Cash, and proof that it is there.
Each bank account mapped to the ledger account it is, statements loaded against it, and what is still unmatched listed rather than hidden.

Bank accounts, statement loading, reconciliation, check registers and petty cash.
What it actually does.
A ledger account with no bank account is visible
The accounts that can never be reconciled are listed separately, because a reconciliation that silently skips an account is worse than one that fails.
- Statements loaded per account, matched against posted entries.
- What is unmatched is listed, with why, rather than absorbed.
- Checks written, outstanding, and the numbers that are missing from the sequence.
Including the tin in the drawer, because that is money too and it is where it goes missing.
Petty cash that balances
Each float, what has gone out of it, and what is left. When the float and the movements disagree it is a missing receipt, and the report says which float.
- Replenishment against what was actually spent.
- Every movement carries its document.
- Variance thresholds you set, not ones we chose.
Outstanding checks are a reconciling item, not a missing payment — the difference matters at year end.
The ones people ask about this.
Can it import our bank’s statement format?
Yes — through a feed where the bank offers one, and through the file they send where they do not. Either way the matching is the same.
What happens to an unmatched line?
It stays listed as unmatched. Nothing is force-matched, because a reconciliation that always balances is not a reconciliation.
Do you handle multiple currencies?
Yes, at a rate that carries the source it came from and its date. Nothing is a gain until the bank has actually bought the notes.
Can we print checks?
Yes, with the register tracking the sequence so a gap is visible rather than discovered.
